Sources close to the fighter have confirmed that Rory “Ares” MacDonald will get the winner of UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks vs. Robbie Lawler. Hendricks and Lawler fight in the main event of UFC 181 on Dec. 6, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada, live on PPV.

It’s pretty impossible to deny Rory that, whoever comes out of that Lawler-Hendricks fight, he’s the next guy in line, said UFC president Dana White.

[The fight will] absolutely, positively, without a doubt, be in Canada. He’s next in line and the fight will be in Canada.

No date of course has been set for MacDonald fight, which depends on a variety of factors.
