In October inaugural Bellator MMA welterweight champion Lyman Good was pulled from his fight with Belal Muhammad at UFC 205 over a potential doping violation. UFC 205 would have been Good’s second fight in the UFC, and it would have been in front of a hometown crowd – Good is a Manhattan native.

Now his attorney David Fish tells Marc Raimondi for MMA Fighting that the failed test was due to a tainted supplement, and was suspended for only six months, retroactive to October 24 when the suspension was announced, so the TSK fighter will be eligible to fight again towards the end of the month.

USADA found that Lyman’s October 2016 flagged urine specimen was the result of tainted vitamins and not the result of any intentional violation, said Fish. USADA has made no official statement as of yet, and Fish would not discuss what PED was found until they do so.
