UFC middleweight Hector Lombard appeared recently on MMAjunkie Radio, ahead of his fight with legend Dan Henderson at UFC 199 on June 4, 2016 at The Forum in Inglewood, California.?

Lombard said when he first moved to the US from Australia for MMA training, it was at Henderson’s Team Quest South, in Temecula, Calif. It was apparently not a good fit, and Lombard ended up training at the famed American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, which was a great fit.

He never gave a **** about me, said Lombard, as transcribed by Steven Marrocco for MMAjunkie. I went there, and he never talked to me, so I was like, OK, no worries. And the week after, I made a move.

I’m very excited about fighting him. He’s one of the guys I look up to. Nevertheless, I’m going to go and knock him out. But it’s going to be an entertaining fight.

The fight will be at middleweight, after a not notably successful four-fight stint at welterweight. Lombard is coming off his first KO loss, to Neil Magny at 171, and had a win overturned for a failed PED test. Lomnard vowed to never return to welterweight.

I’m probably going to go to 205, to be honest, he said. Between 185 and 205.

I’m a guy that never had injuries, throughout my whole career, and I started getting injuries, and I’m like, ‘What the heck is going on?’ And the reason is, your body has very little nutrients, so I was getting injured left and right. The weight cut harms your body a lot. I’m a person that has no fat on me. I’m very muscular. So all these muscles, when you suck all the juice of them, it’s brutal.
