Lion Fight champion Tiffany Van Soest to debut at Invicta 19
The all women’s Invicta FC will promote its 19th event on Sept. 23, in Kansas City, Mo. The card to date is stellar, with two title fights, and a deep undercard that includes the MMA debut of Lion Fight champ Tiffany Van Soest.
The show at Scottish Rite Temple will air exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
Interim flyweight champ Jennifer Maia will fight WMMA pioneer Roxanne Modafferi in the main event, while atomweight champion Ayaka Hamasaki fights Jinh Yu Frey in the co-main.
Chute Boxe protege Maia is on a four fight win streak, most recently a five round, fight of the night over Vanessa Porto. Modafferi is on a two-fight win streak, and is 4-1 since turning her career after joining John Woods’ Syndicate MMA.
The event will also see the debut of Dutch American Muay Thai champion Tiffany Van Soest. At 27, ‘Timebomb’ is currently one a five fight win streak, and holds the Lion Fight Women’s Super Bantamweight (-54.4 kg/120 lb) championship, and the Lion Fight Women’s Featherweight (-56.7 kg/125 lb) Championship.
