The ADCC (Abu Dhabi Combat Club) Submission Wrestling World Championship is the world’s most prestigious grappling event. Founded by H.E. Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in 1998, “The ADCCs” have been held every two years.
The first four events, which were then held on an annual basis, were in Abu Dhabi. Like the Olympics, the event has since moved from city to city, across the world.

The next ADCC Worlds will take place on 22-24 September, 2017 at The Espoo Metro Areena in Espoo, Finland. Ricardo Liborio will defend his title against challenger Chael Sonnen.
Liborio is a founder of both Brazil Top Team and American Top Team. He remains one of the greatest coaches in MMA history and a beast on the mats. Sonnen is a multiple time world title challenger in MMA, and is a lifelong wrestler. Further, in an age when sports are driven more and more by social networks, Chael Sonnen’s words echo like none other, bringing a rising digital roar where ever he goes.
Further, in an age when sports are driven more and more by social networks, Chael Sonnen’s words echo like none other, bringing a rising digital roar whereever he goes. By contrast, Ricardo Liborio is a dignified and jovial consummate martial artist. The pairing of the two is brilliant.
