UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis lost to Mark Hunt in the main event of UFC Fight Night 110 on Saturday night. Immediately afterward, he said he didn’t want to fight anymore.

This was probably my last fight, you know,” he told commentator Brian Stann. “I’m getting married next week, and I don’t like putting my family through all of this so this would be my last fight. … Most likely it’s my last fight in the UFC.

A couple of fellow heavyweights took the opportunity to post mean Tweets. First up was Travis Browne, who suffered the dual indignities of being knocked out by Lewis, and then taunted over the unproven and vehemently denied domestic violence allegations, lodged by his Browne’s ex-wife.

He calls himself a man, but he likes to put his hands on a woman,” said Lewis post fight. So forget that guy, I got much more heart than he has. Where is Ronda Rousey’s fine ass at?

Browne finally responded late Saturday night.

You say you have the most heart in the division but I just watched you quit,” wrote Brown on Instagram. “You should retire. You brought up false news about me that affected my family. What happened to your mom, no woman should ever have to go through. Miss Lewis, you have my sympathy. I hope your family isn’t affected by false accusations or false news, like mine was. Even though you didn’t have the same consideration for my family, I wish the best for your wife and children. Enjoy your wedding on the islands. My home is heaven on Earth. Best wishes. We know you don’t have the heart, but if you have the balls, I’m down to to run it back.”

Surging heavyweight Francis Ngannou too had some unkind words for Lewis.

Ngannou’s post may have been fueled by Lewis’s remarks last month during an appearance on The MMA Hour.

“He is overyhyped,” said Lewis. “I’m still prettier than him anyway. Forget that African booty scratcher, ain’t worried about him.

Lewis has one of the most compelling social network presences in the sport and responded in kind.

“Travis Browne waking up from the dead saying he wants a rematch and Francis learning how to use google translator talking s***,” tweeted Lewis.

And prior to the fight, Lewis posted an eerily accurate representation of the action during the fight.
