Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar failed a Performance Enhancing Drug test administered on June 28. The tests did not come back until Thursday, after the UFC 200 fight with Mark Hunt.

Lesnar offered a response to Greg Beacham for the AP.

“We will get to the bottom of this,” said Lesnar on Friday in a statement.

Lesnar also reportedly passed three tests administered over a nine day period in mid June, shortly before the failed test.

Lesnar will be given an opportunity to defend himself. If he is found to have willfully taken PEDs, the bout result will be changed to No Contest, and the 39-year-old will face a two year suspension from MMA.

The WWE, who have Lesnar under contract, and allowed for the UFC fight last weekend, also issued a statement

“Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, August 21,” it read.

Lesnar was asked pre fight about PEDs and offered a response that may shadow him

“I’m a white boy and I’m jacked,” he replied. “Deal with it.”
