Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has been learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from two-time mundial champion Rodrigo ‘Comprido’ Medeiros since 2008, in preparation for his rise through the UFC. Like his MMA career, the study has not been continuous. Still, eight years seem like a long time for a world-class athlete to earn a blue belt.
Still, that is what Comprido just announced, via Instagram.
Brock himself commented on reaching the long-time goal.

Lesnar was a two-time state champion in folkstyle, going 33-0 his senior year. Lesnar attended Bismarck State College, and won the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) heavyweight wrestling championship his sophomore year. He then moved to the University of Minnesota, and won Div I nationals his senior year, having placed 2nd as a Junior. Lesnar’s overall record in college was 106-5.
Brock Lesnar fights Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in July 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
