Lee takes pointed issue with TMZ headline
Kevin Lee: “I REALLY hate the media. NEVER EVER would I say that. This is NOT a quote!!”
TMZ has been good mixed martial arts, and presumably the same is true in reverse. The celebrity news website covers figures in the MMA space multiple times per day. For example, twice yesterday they published interviews with UFC lightweight Kevin Lee.
One video was titled: UFC’s Kevin Lee Gunning for Conor McGregor — Your Baby Is a Weakness!
The description was unambiguous: “UFC rising star Kevin Lee says Conor McGregor’s newborn baby is going to RUIN his UFC career — chewing up precious training time … and he’ll pay for it in the octagon.”
However, the title and the description don’t accurately capture what he said, and the fighter is making a point of it.
“Wowwww sometimes I REALLY hate the media,” replied Lee on his social network. “NEVER EVER would I say that. This is NOT a quote!! Listen to the actual interview. Bull***.”
