Robbie Lawler reportedly out of UFC 205

TMZ Sports reports that former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler is out of the awesome fight with Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at UFC 205 in New York.
The fight was tremendous from every perspective:
•Lawler lost his title to Tyron Woodley, and winningly wanted another fight immediately.
•UFC lightweight Donald Cerrone will fight anyone anywhere anytime, and now that he has moved up to welterweight, he looks even greater.
•The fight was on the UFC’s triumphant return to New York, after spending nine years and millions of dollars getting the sport regulated there.
There is no word on the cause, although the ever reliable Ariel Helwani reports that Lawler decided he needed a little more time prepare. There is also no word on a replacement, or whether the fight will simply be postponed.
A number of fighters talk about always being ready to step up, but Cerrone lives it like no other, as seen in a recent tweet from UFC president Dana White.

Many have wondered where Cowboy’s attitude came from. The fighter recently answered.
“People often ask me where I get my inspiration to live life to the fullest!” he wrote. “And there she sits with 0 f***s! Tougher and more determined than anyone I have ever met. Would never let bulls*** slide, and told me if I didn’t like the way things turned out then F***ing change them. Losing was never an option.
“Love you Grandma”
Again and in closing, hopefully whatever removed Lawler from the fight is not severe, and he is back doing what he wants to in short order
