Lauzon Eating Pizza For Charity

Easton, Massachusetts – UFC Lightweight star Joe Lauzon has partnered with The Underground (www.mixedmartialarts.com) and Baking Steel (www.bakingsteel.com) to raise money for the Jimmy Fund.

On Friday, October 2nd, Joe Lauzon will bring his team of six fighters to the Baking Steel test kitchen in Cohasett, Massachusetts to eat pizza by the slice, with all proceeds going directly to the Jimmy Fund. For each slice of pizza consumed in one hour from a 10-inch pizza, Baking Steel will donate $5.00.

Lauzon has been supporting the Jimmy Fund for the past two years after his newborn son, Joey Lauzon III, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma shortly after being born. With the help of his doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy Fund, Joey was able to beat cancer and make a full recovery. Lauzon recently led a group of family and friends in the annual Jimmy Fund Walk raising over $25,000 for the organization.

The Underground, an online community of mixed martial arts fans, has also reached out to its members to pledge a donation per slice.
