KSW officials announced that Brazil’s Werlleson Martins (16-4) has stepped in to challenge Poland’s Sebastian Przybysz (9-2) for the KSW bantamweight title in the main event of KSW 69 this Saturday, April 23, live around the world on KSWTV.com.

Przybysz was originally scheduled to defend against Zuriko Jojua, however, the Georgian suffered a rib injury which has ruled him out.

Martins comes into KSW off the back of a three-fight win-streak and is the current SBC champion in Serbia. The 26-year-old is also the owner of an 81 percent finishing ratio with five wins coming by way of knockout and eight submission victories to his name.

The champ is no stranger to Brazilian fighters having defended his title against tough prospect Bruno Santos in his last fight at KSW 64. Prszybysz submitted Santos with an inverted triangle to mark his first title defense since winning the strap from former champ Antun Racic at KSW 59.

The 28-year-old has emerged as one of the best bantamweights in Europe since making his KSW debut in 2018. Since then, he has gone 6-1 and is currently riding a five-fight win-streak.

Elsewhere on the KSW 69 card, Pawel Pawak (19-4-1) faces Cezary Kęsik (13-1) in the co-main event, top undefeated prospects Robert Ruchala (6-0) and Michele Baiano (7-0) meet, Croatia’s Sara Luzar Smajić (3-1) welcomes Poland’s Natalia Baczyńska (6-1) into the promotion, and former title challenger Maciej Kazieczko (7-2) collides with France’s Wilson Varela (6-2) in a battle between two heavy hitters.

KSW 69 will be live to watch around the world this Saturday on KSWTV.com and exclusively on Viaplay in selected European regions.
