Krause, Jordan earn ‘of the night’ bonuses

Although no official announcement has been made yet, the winners of tonight’s submission of the night and knockout of the night seem locked up. Both James Krause for his late submission of Sam Stout and Shawn Jordan for his TKO of Pat Barry should earn the bonuses by default. Krause’s submission was the only one of the night and Jordan’s TKO was also the only TKO of the night.

The eleven fight UFC 161 card saw nine of eleven bouts end in a decision: three split decisions, five unanimous decisions, and one majority decision.

Update: At the UFC 162 post-fight press conference UFC President Dana White confirms my initial though on the submission of the night and KO of the night and also confirmed that James Krause and Sam Stout had earned the fight of the night. Each competitor was given $50,000 for each ‘of the night’ performance.
