The original UFC rules numbered just three – no eye gouging, no biting, and no fish hooking. Two of three were allegedly broken in an instant at UFC Fight Night 123 on Saturday night. Featherweight Jason Knight had a point deducted for biting Gabriel Benitez, but Knight charges there was a reason for it.
He bit my thumb, my finger, said Benitez post fight to MMAjunkie. I tried to grab the chin, and he bit two times. In the fight, this happens.”
The fighter was asked if he thought Knight was a dirty fighter.t
“No, because in this sport everything happens,” said Benitez. “It was a mistake. It’s just a sport.
This how it went down:

Now Knight has responded on his social network.
“Yeah I accidentally bit the dude this weekend,” he tweeted. “You put your fingers in my mouth, I’ll bite them too. A fish hook is not a takedown defense.”

Ian McCall had tweeted earlier that he suspected that that had happened.
Not saying it’s ok but if you put your finger in my mouth I’m going to bite the fuck out of it…

Unless a better camera angle is released, which is unlikely, it appears as if Knight shot, Benitez went for a chin grab, fingers ended up in an orifice, and the orifice bit down.
These things happen in mixed martial arts.
