Kenny Florian anticipates a return to the cage around May and would like a fight with WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis.
Florian’s manager Malki Kawa revealed the news via Twitter today.
So I just spoke to @kennyflorian. Looks like he can return in or around May… I asked him who wants to fight…. Answer: @showtimepettis! he wrote.
Aside from Pettis, another opponent of interest to him when he returns is, reportedly, the winner of the upcoming George Sotiropoulos and Dennis Siver fight. Florian is coming off a decision loss to Gray Maynard at UFC 118. A win would have earned him a shot against Frankie Edgar for the lightweight title.
