UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock has launched a podcast with serial entrepreneur Des W Woodruff. Shamrock spoke recently with William Colosimo about what it’s all about.

William Colosimo: You and your business partner Des Woodruff have a new podcast – World’s Most Dangerous Podcast – so far it looks like one episode is out. What made you think about going in this direction?

Ken Shamrock: Well, we’ve got a lot of business projects that we’re doing. I’m reinventing myself, and the one thing that I’ve always prided myself on… I really enjoy the fans, and I appreciate the fans. So it’s just another way for me to stay in contact with all the guys and all the women that supported me over the years – being able to keep them involved with what I’m doing, by keeping them up to date with new stuff that I’m doing, so yeah it’s important. And so we figured everybody’s doing podcasts- but we wanted to be different. We didn’t want it to just be another podcast. We thought we’d touch on all kinds of stuff- different topics, current events going on, and telling stories of things prior to me fighting, and the early stages of me fighting, and just telling different stories of that nature.

And then we have this thing called the Lion’s Cage- like Shark Tank- where we actually get people to come up with some great business ideas, and we get involved with my celebrity status to help promote and help grow their business by using my name, so if they have a great idea we get involved and help them do that. So it’s really a wide variety of things that we’re doing, but the biggest thing is that we get to stay in contact with all the fans.

WC: Is there going to be any kind of fan interaction- maybe a live Q and A, or taking previously sent in questions, something like that?

KS: Yeah, we have a website – it’s called www.dangerouspodcast.com and people can get involved by logging onto there and they can also go to iTunes, click on there and actually watch some of the episodes that we have.

WC: For now, is iTunes going to be the main way to see your podcast, or are any of these eventually going to make their way to a YouTube channel?

KS: Well, right now we’re just basically right there. We got an opportunity to do that with iTunes- which is huge. So, we want to jump on that and run it there. But we have the actual http://www.dangerouspodcast.com where you can get all of them, but we’re fortunate to be part of iTunes and be involved with that, so we’re happy with that.

WC: Anything else you wanted to get out there – your website, any new content fans should be looking out for there?

KS: Yeah, if people want to get involved and know everything that’s going on we have my website www.kenshamrock.com and I have all my social medias like LinkedIn, Twitter, you name it… Facebook, we’ve got it all on my website – go there, all the current events that I’m doing, all the new things we’ve got going on, all my business ventures that we’re getting ready to launch. It’s all on there. And like I said, I really enjoy mingling with the fans so I’d love to have them on board.
