Jury: Cerrone’s never fought somebody like me

Myles Jury is one of the light weight division’s fastest growing stars, having won all six of his UFC fights since his stint on the live season of the Ultimate Fighter. Jury is also undefeated in his fifteen professional fights. As a new comer, winning often means moving up the ladder and facing tougher and tougher competition.
With his next fight, Jury who is currently ranked eighth will fight his first top five ranked fighter in Donald Cerrone. Jury is cognizant that Cerrone is the toughest fight he’s had to date, but believes his style is something that ‘Cowboy’ has never had to face:
I feel this is a very, very important matchup right now, Jury told Fight Corner. We’re both on hot streaks, we’re both killin’ it in our weight class in the UFC. It’s just a great time to have this fight. I always look at my career not as my last fight or my next fight, I look at it all in one place together.
As far as my next fight is always my biggest fight, it’s true. But look back at my career, I’m treating this one just as another fight. I’m looking to go out and just showcase my skills like always.
Known for his solid striking and slick submissions, Cerrone presents challenges in all phases of the game. Currently, Cerrone is ranked at no. 4 and Jury at no. 8. The TUF 15 alum knows he has to persevere to close in on the top five of the stacked lightweight division.
