While all of Brazil cheered Junior ‘Cigano’ Dos Santos as he knocked out Cain Velasquez and won the UFC heavyweight title, his wife Vilsana, back home in Salvador, Brazil, reponded to her husband’s victory with tears. Relieved at the fact the fight was quick and bloodless, she related that Dos Santos didn’t take off the UFC belt even when he went to sleep.

“I spoke to him five hours after the fight,” she said. “And he was lying in the hotel bed with the belt. So far I’m speechless. The fight was exciting and wonderful and, best of all, my husband was not hurt. Thankfully, that was fast, otherwise I would have freaked out.”
