Noted oddsmaker Joey Odessa has set Frankie Edgar at +125 to Champ Jose Aldo’s -155 in the new headliner of UFC 153, which takes place Oct. 13 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro and airs live on pay-per-view, FX and Facebook.

“I think it’s a winnable fight for Frankie,” Odessa told MMAjunkie.com. “You’re going to get an honest fight out of Edgar. Whether you get honest judges remains to be seen.”

“If they fought in Jersey, I may be inclined to make Frankie the favorite. Edgar is going to have to keep from getting chopped down (by Aldo’s leg kicks). Frankie is just got to fight like Frankie. He’s got to be disciplined and not get caught with anything big. It’s not out of the realm of possibility (that he wins). He did hurt Gray Maynard.”

“The early money will be on Aldo because there’s higher prices out there, and then they’ll come back on Edgar. The late money will be on Edgar.”
