With today’s announcement that Johny Hendricks will fight Robbie Lawler at UFC 171, a title fight between Jon Jones and Glover Texiera will now move to UFC 172:
After initially saying the fight would remain a part of UFC 171 despite the recent booking of a Johny Hendricks vs. Robbie Lawler title fight, UFC President Dana White later clarified Jones vs. Teixeira instead will headline UFC 172.
A date, as well as a location and venue, haven’t been finalized for the pay-per-view card, which is expected to take place in late March or early April.
This is now the fourth different booking for Jones vs. Teixeira.
