Jon Jones sent the first strike, sending Cormier a private message on Twitter stating: ‘I hope you’re ready to come to daddy’.
Today it was announced that Daniel Cormier would step in for the injured Alexander Gustaffson to face Jon Jones at UFC 178. It’s no secret there is no love lost between champion Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier and it didn’t take long for them to hit and start some verbal warfare.
Jon Jones sent the first strike, sending Cormier a private message on Twitter stating: ‘I hope you’re ready to come to daddy’. Cormier however was unable to respond to the private message, as Jones doesn’t follow him, so he posted a screen shot of his reply to his own public Twitter:
