Jones confident in super fight with Weidman

Today UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones held a Q&A prior to the UFC 169 weigh-ins. A fan asked him what he thought about a potential super fight with middleweight champion Chris Weidman and here’s what he had to say:

I don’t want to offend him; I think he’s a great guy, said the 26-year-old Jones, treading lightly on a subject that isn’t exactly a hot topic among MMA fans. But I’m a very confident young man. So I’ll just leave it at that.

Jones is considerably bigger than Chris Weidman and a move to heavyweight is more likely than a move to middleweight, but you never know what is possible. Weidman still has a few hard fights in his own division, but a super fight down the road could be awesome.
