Jones bitter on Twitter over Gustafsson remarks
Jon Jones: “I’m not a champion because you don’t like my personality? F@$% you lol”
Top UFC light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson recently expressed the hope that division champion Daniel Cormier defeats former belt holder Jon Jones at UFC 214 on July 29 in Anaheim, California.
I don’t like him,” said Gustafsson. “I give him that he’s the best fighter of all time. He’s the pound-for-pound in our division. Everybody knows he hasn’t lost yet. He demolishes everyone he fights.
But as a person, as a champion, he’s not a champion in my eyes. He’s not a good person in my eyes. I always tell the guys, I hope ‘DC’ wins, because I like the guy. He’s a worthy champion.
Jones was not impressed and offered a presidential torrent of retorts on Twitter.
