Jon Jones reportedly spends one night in rehab program
Jon Jones mother Camille: “I’m glad that this happened to Jon, this stopped him in his tracks, this let him know that he may need to change some friends,”

Camille Jones, mother of UFC light heavyweight Jon, spoke recently with Travis Eldridge, Sports Director at Binghamton, NY’s WBNG-TV. She reported that Jones spent just one night in the drug rehab program. She reports that the out of competition test for recreational drugs that was incorrectly administered by the Nevada Athletic Commission came one day after Jones “did something he shouldn’t have done.”
“I’m glad that this happened to Jon, this stopped him in his tracks, this let him know that he may need to change some friends,” she said “Because everyone is not for you for the best. So this is a good thing as far as our family is concerned, so we wasn’t upset. Me and my husband considered it a blessing from God that our child was able to be helped and know that he need to stop and know that he needed the assistance to stop before it came to something worse.”
“When he tested positive, my first question was, do you have a problem, a serious problem? And then he told me what happened. Jon is usually very honest with me, so he told me what happened. I was like, good for you….good. You needed to be caught, it was just timing.”
“You know, it did not affect his game, it was not in his system during the fight, so he’s still a good athlete. So before something becomes serious of it, I was glad it was nipped in the bud.”
Jones will be AFC Championship game in Foxborough, Mass. to watch brothers Arthur (Indianapolis Colts) and Chandler (New England Patriots) face off.
It should be noted that the one-night report comes via a son talking to a mother about a embarrassing issue. However, if Jones does indeed show up at an NFL game on the other side of the country, it would indicate he is not going through the type of program depicted in Breaking Bad for Jesse.
