Chris Weidman fights to retain his UFC middleweight championship in the main event live on PPV Saturday night, but his greatest fight may be through his work as a Board Member for Live to Fight Inc. The non profit corporation was founded by Kristen Brown, for the purpose of helping people in the martial arts and MMA community who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
As a cancer survivor who has fought long and hard to win her battles, Ms. Brown understands the physical, mental, and financial burdens that serious illness places on an afflicted individual and their family. As founder of Live to Fight Inc., she works relentlessly on behalf of others in the martial arts and MMA community suffering from life-threatening illnesses, so that they too can win their fights.
Live to Fight has set a goal of $50,000 in fundraising by February 13, 2014 (11:59pm PT), and everyone is encouraged to contribute.
