Johny Hendricks fighting Matt Brown next, not a trilogy fight with Robbie Lawler

Johny Hendricks will not get a rematch with Robbie Lawler next, instead he will fight Matt Brown on the main card of UFC 185 on March 14 in Dallas, Texas.

UFC.com just published some unexpected news. There is at the least going to be a delay before the trilogy fight between UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and Johny Hendricks that preempted Rory MacDonald’s promised title shot.

Instead Hendricks will fight Matt Brown on the main card of UFC 185 on March 14 in Dallas, Texas. Brown was initially scheduled to fight Tarec Saffiedine at UFC Fight Night 60 on Feb 14, but Saffiedine was injured, but no suitable replacement was available for the earlier date.
