Last night it was revealed that the co-main event of UFC 186 in Montreal had been scrapped, but luckily Demetrious Johnson was ready to defend his title:
UFC 186 lost arguably its most interesting fight, but it also gained another title fight.
Demetrious Johnson vs. Kyoji Horiguchi for the UFC flyweight title is the new co-main event, as Rory MacDonald vs. Hector Lombard has been removed from the card, according to the promotion. No reason was given for the MacDonald-Lombard cancellation.
UFC 186, headlined by T.J. Dillashaw vs. Renan Barao 2 for the bantamweight title, is set for April 25 at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
