Johnson to Dillashaw: Wait your turn
Demetrious Johnson: “Just so the world know I haven’t agreed to anything still waiting on my contract to fight Ray Borg not T.J. Dillashaw. If he wants a title shot he can come to flyweight and get a win then get his turn.”

Yesterday UFC president Dana White announced that Cody Garbrandt vs. TJ Dillashaw at UFC 213 on July 8 was off due to Garbrandt’s back injury.
Dillashaw will instead fight Demetrious Johnson in August.
After his last round of treatment in Germany, they told him he’d need four weeks to rest, said White. That would have put him two weeks out from the fight. With Cody out, we’re going to make T.J. versus Mighty Mouse [Johnson]. That’s the plan.
If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.
Dillashaw anticipated the cancellation of the Garbrandt fight when news of the back injury first surfaced and has been campaigning for a fight vs. UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. There are a couple of problems with the scenario.
One, the sport is moving away from extreme cutting, and Dillashaw has never made the weight before. A title shot for someone with no demonstrated ability to make the weight would be highly unusual. Second, Ray Borg is next in line for a title shot at 125, as despite his #3 ranking, DJ has already handily beaten #1 and #2.
The former world champion Dillashaw tweeted out a poll, something the unheralded Borg could not hope to win.
Would you rather see @MightyMouseUFC headline Seattle and fight Me or @tazmexufc ?

Borg responded reasonably, as Dillashaw did in return.
Lol of course fans are going to choose you, look at how much more established you are than me.

Nothing but respect for you.

However, Borg’s title shot is potentially problematic as well. The fighter has missed weight in two of his last seven fights. He responded to those concerns on his social network and said if the Johnson fight is not available, he will take Wilson Reis.

Johnson is on record as saying he is not particularly interested in a fight with Dillashaw as it is not a champion vs. champion superfight. Thus in his view, Dillashaw needs to drop to the division and earn a place in line. Mighty Mouse made the point again Tuesday night.
