Play-By-Play
Round 1 – These two guys don’t like each other. This could be fun. No glove touch, obviously. Johnson kicks high to start, and then both miss with right hands. Johnson lands a glancing left, then they try low kicks. Fifty seconds in, they land a quick flurry each. Johnson tries a front kick to the body, then again, but has it blocked away. Poirier is cur under his right eye early. Then out of absolute nowhere, Johnson lands a total bomb. Just a total bomb. Poirier hits the canvas. Johnson pounces on him and drills him with hammer fists, and it’s all over. Johnson celebrates by standing over the top of him with his arms outstretched before a commission member pushes him away.
