Johnson details pranking Dana White
Anthoy Johnson: “I was like, ‘We need to do something to get everybody going,’ and he said, ‘I’m going to headbutt you.’ I was like, ‘Cool, let’s do it.”

At yesterday’s press event for ‘Welcome to Show’ series of upcoming title fights, it appeared as though Anthony Johnson and champion Jon Jones were about to cause another incident and start a fight at the event. Fortunately it was just an elaborate plan to prank UFC President Dana White, which worked wonderfully. Johnson spoke to MMAJunkie after UFC 184 and explained how it all came about:
Anthony Johnson said it was his idea to punk UFC President Dana White on Saturday with a fake brawl at a news conference to promote its upcoming events.
But, Johnson added, it was light heavyweight champ Jon Jones’ idea to reenact his infamous clash with Daniel Cormier.
I was like, ‘We need to do something to get everybody going,’ and he said, ‘I’m going to headbutt you.’ I was like, ‘Cool, let’s do it,’ Johnson told MMAjunkie.
