I was watching MFC last night and Ryan Healy was stuck under Kajan Johnson’s mounted crucifix for a good part of the first round until he escaped. I was watching intently, not just because it was a good fight, but because I wanted to see if Healy could get out since it was early in the fight and he was fresh. He took a fuck load of elbows and punches and finally was able to escape the position, but man what a struggle it was for him.

After he escaped I was thinking that might have been the first time I’ve actually seen a guy get out of that spot. I’m sure it’s happened before, but that’s the only one that I can recall.

Does anyone know the most effective mounted crucifix escape? Video?
