Jedrzejczyk and challenger Valerie Letourneau got into it a little during a recent media call.
Marc Raimondi did the transcription for MMA Fighting.
Valerie Letourneau: “Maybe she’s going to have a bad surprise on Nov. 14. I feel like I’ve improved from my fights against Jessica Rakoczy to [Maryna] Moroz. I feel like I’ve improved 10 times more already between my fight with Moroz to now. I just can’t wait to put it all there and to show what I’m capable of.”
Joanna Jedrzejczyk: “But I’m not Maryna Moroz and I am not Rakoczy. I am Joanna Champion.”
Valerie Letourneau: “I know you’re a great fighter, Joanna. There’s no doubt about it.”
Joanna Jedrzejczyk: “Keep it in your mind,”
Valerie Letourneau: “Don’t worry about that.”
Joanna Jedrzejczyk: “I’m know you’re afraid already.”
Joanna ‘Champion’ is practiced at getting inside her opponent’s head. Both Carla Esparza and Jessica Penne were visibly rattled at times; Jedrzejczyk TKO’d both.
