Jacare to become face of Reebok in Brazil

Every fighter in the UFC now wears Reebok in the Octagon and in the days leading up to a fight. However the apparel giant also has separate deals with an elite group of fighters that includes Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, and Paige VanZant, but now Brazilians, until now.

#2 ranked middleweight contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza has now signed, and is expected to be the face of Reebok in Brazil.

“We think ‘Jacare’ fits very nicely into what we’re doing, and for us he’ll be the face of UFC in Brazil, so it’s a big deal,” said senior director of Reebok combat training Michael Lunardelli to Shaun Al-Shatti for MMAFighting.com. “He’s maybe one of the greatest jiu-jitsu artists who ever lived. He’s amazing. He’s a tactician of the sport.

“We love how versatile he is as a fighter, and we’re very excited to have him on our roster.”

Reebok had tried to sign UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, but Aldo remained with long-time sponsor Venum.
