Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza fought Gegard Mousasi at Dream 6, losing via upkick. Now the pair fight again, in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Mousasi vs. Souza on September 5.

In an interview with the Portuguese language Combate, Jacare said he is going to ‘annihilate’ Mousasi, and ask for a title shot with the winner of Weidman vs. Belfort at at UFC 181 on Dec 6.

“Fighting him again it’s like just another fight,” said Souza, as translated by Fernando Arbex for BE. “I’m ready to annihilate my opponent and have another victory in the UFC. I’m going to stop Mousasi. I’ve come to be undefeated in the UFC to lose to nobody. People have to keep believing in me because I’m going to be the champion of this division. But first I have to beat Mousasi to ask for something, and after this fight I’ll ask for a title shot.

Jacare, 34, is 3-0 in the UFC, and was 3-0 in Strikeforce before that. His sole loss since the upkick in Japan was to Luke Rockhold, via unanimous decision over three rounds.

Mousasi, 29, has lost just one of his last six fights, a five round main event decision loss to Lyoto Machida.
