Mixed martial arts has become an unlikely source of positive images from the LBGT community. Bigoted stereotypes around gender and sexual orientation are harder to hold when there is a prominent community of women that are as hot as they want to be, and can kick your ass.

The Instagram account for UFC strawweight Tecia ‘Tiny Tornado’ Torres is full of love and tolerance. Here she poses with UFC bantamweight Raquel ‘Rocky’ Pennington. The two are dating.

Here Torres shows a unique variation on an old exercise with Pennington, who is on a three-fight win streak over Jessica Andrade, Bethe Correia, and Elizabeth Phillips. Torres saw her seven-fight undefeated streak broken in a rematch with Rose Namajunas at UFC on FOX 19 in April; she also lost two exhibition contests on TUF.

However, providing balance to the displays of love, unity, joy, tolerance, cuddles, unicorns, and rainbows comes Invicta FC bantamweight Tonya Evinger. ‘Triple Threat’ is the most enthusiastically, gleefully out woman in mixed martial arts. She ably serves as a role model for proudly being who and what and how she is.

Where some fighters thank their Lord and Savior, after her latest title defense, Evinger puked in a bucket and then sealed the win with a kiss of interviewer Laura Sanko.

When Evinger saw Torres and Pennington’s cute romp, she offered her own interpretation.
