The Irish Sun is reporting that UFC lightweight Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have finally come to an agreement on a multi-million dollar deal to box.
Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have agreed a deal to fight and have both settled on their respective fees,” said a source close to Straight Blast Gym Ireland. The contract hasn’t officially been signed yet because of a third party hold-up but all the details have all been agreed on. The fight could even be announced within two weeks.
The three letter acronym for “third party hold-up” is UFC.
McGregor is reportedly going to the US this week to make an anti-bullying video as part of the penalty agreement he made with the Nevada Athletic Commission for playing bottle frisbee with Nate Diaz and friends. The Sun says McGregor will use the trip to finalize details of the boxing match with Mayweather’s representatives.
There’s a lot of business to do out in Las Vegas,” said McGregor recently. “They tried to fine me $150,000 for throwing a bottle of water. It was a can but whatever. We’ll call it a bottle of water and say no more about it.”
Ah no look I’m gonna f*** this whole s*** up again. I love the Vegas commission. We’ve come to an understanding. I’m gonna fly out there and fix it. I’m gonna get my Las Vegas boxing commission and then we’ll see where the f*** Floyd’s at?!
McGregor recently posted a video of his boxing on his social network.
It’s the fight the people want. It’s the fight I want. I know I’m confident going in there.
I’ve got the reach. I’ve got youth. I’ve got the confidence. I’ve got the unpredictable style. You can’t prepare for a style like me. A guy said to me, why conquer one world when you can conquer two? So I’m going to go conquer two worlds.
However, before anyone comments on who could beat whom under what rules, the report may be nonsense. Senior Writer for Yahoo! Sports, Chris Mannix, was not impressed.

Mayweather tweeted along nope. And UFC president Dana White was likewise dismissive in an interview with TMZ.
“There is no deal,” said White. Given that McGregor’s contract with the UFC prohibits competing in another combat sport, if White says there is no deal, there is no deal. But a deal could be in the works.
