Today Max Holloway spoke to the media before his main event fight on Sunday and made a bold statement about his striking skills:

Max Holloway believes he has the best striking skills not just in the UFC’s featherweight division or on the roster, but in the entire world.

Holloway (13-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) is glowing with confidence ahead of Sunday’s main event bout with Charles Oliveira (20-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 74. He has good reason, because the 23-year-old is on a six-fight winning streak that includes five stoppages.

Blessed joined the organization at just 19 years old and is already on the cusp of his 13th octagon appearance. Striking has and always will be his bread and butter, and Holloway said he’s ready to show the full extent of his stand-up ability.

I go around telling myself I’m the best striker in the world; not in the division, in the world, Holloway told MMAjunkie. I could go to GLORY and fight any kickboxer. I don’t care. That’s what I want to do. I want to prove I’m the best striker and that’s just how I feel. It’s confidence.
