Never leave it in the hands of the judges. The statement couldn’t ring truer for Johny Hendricks who believed he had done enough to win the UFC welterweight title. St-Pierre got the split decision, but in Hendricks’s mind that the past, and now he is focusing on the changes he needs to make to ensure a different outcome in the rematch:
When the time comes, a confident Hendricks says he will get the finish and won’t allow judges to be a factor, as he recently declared on “The MMA Hour:”
“I’m over it, I’m looking forward to the future. It’s all I can do at this point. To sit and dwell on it, it is what it is. Just move forward and I know I’m going to get him again if he doesn’t retire. Next time, I am going to make sure it doesn’t go to judges. There is a couple of things I am going to take into my hands, literally, and I’m going to do things differently to finish GSP. I had him rocked in the second round and I am going to finish it next time.”
