Hendricks enjoys a clean shave and a triple Baconator

“What happens is after I shave it off, my body finally goes into relax mode,” Hendricks told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). “As soon as I start growing it and I see it starting getting a little bit out there, I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s training camp all over again. Here we go.’ It pushes me through it.
“And as soon as I shave it and look in the mirror, I relax and stop thinking about fighting for however long.”
But it’s not just a smooth face that’s part of his post-fight tradition. Soon after he earned a scrappy victory and left the venue, his nose picked up a scent. After all, the fast-food aficionado has a nose even a bloodhound could appreciate.
“There’s a Wendy’s around here,” Hendricks told his traveling party. “Trust me.”
Sure enough, his redheaded mistress was a block away. Hendricks, who eats a clean diet during training camp, feasted on one of life’s little pleasures: a triple Baconator.
And boy, did he enjoy it. It tasted even better knowing he had a victory in his pocket and had bested a very, very tough opponent. Sure, he didn’t get the finish and settled for a split-decision win, but in all honesty, he kind of expected that.
