“We had a brief get-to-know-you session with them and met them for coffee, but to say he’s close to signing would be a gross misrepresentation,” said Henderson’s associate Aaron Crecy. “Until something is signed, nothing is ever over.”
Crecy revealed that Henderson is planning to attend the November 7th Strikeforce event as a guest, but would not be making any decisions until he returns from a hunting trip later that month.
A Team Quest source told Fighters Only recently that he expected the UFC and Henderson to reach an agreement, saying negotiations with the UFC are ongoing. There’s things that they want and there’s things that Dan wants, its just a case of working things out and both sides coming to an agreement.
