Benson Henderson will challenge Andrey Koreshkov for the Bellator MMA welterweight title on April 22 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
ESPN.com confirmed the 170-pound championship fight with Bellator officials on Tuesday. The bout, which will mark Henderson’s promotional debut, will headline Bellator 153 inside Mohegan Sun Arena.
Henderson (23-5) is a former UFC and WEC lightweight champion. The 32-year-old recently ended a 14-fight run with the UFC by signing a multi-fight deal with Bellator. A longtime 155-pounder, Henderson recorded back-to-back wins as a welterweight in 2015.
