The two opposing coaches made it clear during the filming of The Ultimate Fighter 9 that they didn’t like each other. In interviews leading up to the bout, Henderson said he wanted to shut the outspoken Bisping up. “I believe I accomplished that for a little while,” said Henderson following the fight. “I don’t know if he’ll ever shut his mouth completely, though.”

Bisping was unconscious upon impact of the punch and Henderson followed up with another devastating strike as the popular British fighter was on the canvas.

Asked about the final punch to the knocked out Bisping, Henderson said, “Normally, I’m not that way in fights. I know if a guy is out. I tend to stop. I knew I hit him out. I think that one was just to shut him up a little bit.”

With the Bisping fight behind him, Henderson looks to a rematch with Anderson Silva for the UFC middleweight crown. He’s strung together a three-fight win streak since losing to the current titleholder at UFC 82 in March of 2008.

“Whatever they’d like me to do, but I believe I’ve kind of earned that over my last three fights I’ve won since my title fight,” stated Henderson about his next bout. “But it’s completely up to them.”
