Despite being home to one of MMA’s most famous and best fighter producing gym in the country, Albuquerque has never hosted a UFC event, until now:
The UFC is coming to Albuquerque.
On June 7, the UFC announced on Tuesday, former lightweight champion Benson Henderson will headline a Fight Night card at Tingley Coliseum.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale April 18.
Henderson (20-3) is scheduled to face Dagestan’s Rustam Khabilov in the main event. Khabilov (17-1) trains at Albuquerque’s Jackson-Winkeljohn Mixed Martial Arts.
