Henderson: I need a couple wins
Dan Henderson is one of the sports legends and regardless if he is close to retirement or not, he knows what he needs next: a couple wins on his record.

I need to get a couple of wins here, for sure, regardless of whether I’m going out or not, he said.
Next week, Henderson (30-13 MMA, 7-7 UFC) gets another chance to rebound in the middleweight division, where he returned in January and was quickly stopped by fellow former Strikeforce champ Gegard Mousasi. In his second bout at 185 pounds since 2010, he headlines UFC Fight Night 68 opposite Tim Boetsch (18-8 MMA, 9-7 UFC). The FOX Sports 1-televised event takes place at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
The middleweight bout was promoted to the main event when Daniel Cormier, who was slated to fight Ryan Bader, was moved to this past Saturday’s UFC 187. Cormier stepped in for Jones, who was stripped of the light heavyweight title following his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run accident, and submitted Anthony Johnson to claim the vacant belt.
Henderson has a lot of winning to do if he ever wants to be considered for the light heavyweight strap, let alone any UFC title. He has comparatively little time to do it, as well. But he is unwilling to hang up his gloves.
I feel like I’m still capable, and I have one more goal I want to achieve, Henderson said. Obviously, I’m a little farther from my goal because I didn’t have the best last couple of years. But my body is doing good, and I want to see how I do at 185. My last fight, I didn’t get that opportunity to see how I feel with the referee stepping in a little on the quick side.
