Former Bellator Middleweight champion Hector Lombard, who recently signed with the UFC, and will fight Brian Stann in his first fight, just tweeted an unusual request:

I want to prove that I am 100% natural and drug free so I’ve requested a completly random drug test by the UFC doctor on the 6th of June which is six weeks from today. I want to get this out of the way to prove to the fans I am totally against steroids, yeah I’ve specified in the terms of the fight contract that the test has to be that day or the day after only as the rest of the time I might be in Cuba.
Lombard, who is a naturalized Australian citizen, competed on the 2000 Cuban Olympic Judo team, and thus presumably has years of experience with being drug tested.
There has never been so much as a suggestion that Brian Stann uses PEDs; the tweet is presumably a response to Alistair Overeem’s recent difficulties with PED testing.
