Happy 20th birthday ADCCs
The Abu Dhabi Combat Club was created 20 years ago by his excellency Sheik Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, together with his BJJ instructor Nelson Monteiro.
The Abu Dhabi Combat Club was created by his excellency Sheik Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the son of the former United Arab Emirates president Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, together with his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Nelson Monteiro.
20 years ago The Club, in turn, spawned the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship, the world’s preeminent grappling tournament, which is held every two years. In addition, countless grappling tournaments around the world use elements of the ADCC format and rule structure.
Now combat sports film producer Mohammed Al Housani, and the number one Mixed Martial Arts director in the world, Bobby Razak, have reunited the original Abu Dhabi combat team after 20 years in San Diego.
