The culture of extreme weight cutting in mixed martial arts appears to have taken down another fighter. Top 10 UFC middleweight Uriah Hall was reportedly on the way to UFC Fight Night 124 weigh-ins when he passed out, and may also have suffered a seizure.

The news comes via the ever informed Ariel Helwani.

Helwani’s reference to a seizure received some partial confirmation from Paige VanZant, who is making her Flyweight debut on Sunday.

As anyone who has seen one will attest, seizures are terrifying.

The good news is Hall is apparently okay. The bad news is there is still little implementation ofAndy Foster’s 10 Point Plan to fix the deadly problem. It works. The ABC medical committee supports it. The ABC has adopted it. The UFC supports it and will continue to adopt further parts of it.
