Mark Munoz wears his heart on sleeve, displaying his emotions openly, and earning fans for it. Rory MacDonald doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve.
Alexander Gustafsson does something different – he wears his record on his sleeve, or what eventually may turn into a sleeve. Beneath an large ace of spades, he has tattooed an empty inverted triangle for each fight. When he wins, he fills it in. If he looses, it stays empty forever.
He recently updated his ink, via Facebook.
Ok, finally done with the updates on my tattoos. The Jon “Bones” Jones fight and the Jimi Manuwa are filled in.
In my eyes, I won the fight again Jon Jones, but not in the judges eyes, so I filled it just half colored.
The next tattoo I will do will be filled in fully when I get the belt, this time I will not leave it in the hand of the judges.
And what is new ink without a new pick up truck? Gustafsson’s is bigger than yours.
Gustafsson fights champion Jon Jones for light heavyweight championship of the world on September 27th. Calculatus Eliminatus has been done on the location – it won’t be Sweden. Likely cities are either Toronto, where they first fought, or Las Vegas.
