Gustafsson: ‘Absolutely’ I’d fight Rasahd Evans next
Rashad Evans is a former champion and when Alexander Gustafsson was asked about him as a potential next opponent, he seemed more than willing:
Earlier this week lightheavyweight Rashad Evans said on the UFC Tonight broadcast that he would like to fight Swede Alexander Gustafsson in his next fight. Gustafsson was originally scheduled for a title rematch with Jon Jones, then a number one contender bout with Anthony Johnson, and then found himself without an opponent.
Evans is a former champion and when Gustafsson was asked about him as a potential next opponent, he seemed more than willing:
On Friday, Gustafsson told UFC announcer Andy Friedlander that he liked that idea, as well.
“Absolutely,” he said when asked if he was interested in facing Evans next. “I want to fight Rashad, too.”
