Guillard vs. Danzig booked for UFC on FOX 8

In a possible bout where the loser is out of a job, the UFC today announced that Melvin Guillard would battle Mac Danzig at the UFC on FOX 8. The event is scheduled for Seattle’s Key Arena on July 27th.

Guillard, a veteran of Season 2 of the Ultimate Fighter, has been on a roller coaster of wins and loses during his stint in the UFC. Recently he has dropped four of his last fives bouts and likely faces a must-win situation at UFC on FOX 7.

Mac Danzig may also be in a must-win situation, although not as dire as Guillard’s. Danzig has alternated between wins and loses for the last three years and will be looking to keep himself off the chopping block with a win over Guillard.
